How MDS creativity pumped up sales for Reineke.

SITUATION
Reineke—the manufacturer of a new tire-inflation system—was looking for a product launch that would make its new product soar. The assignment was to develop a logo, sales packets and trade ads that would do just that. The creative needed to convey safety and stability while differentiating the new product from a primary competitor, ArvinMeritor.

SOLUTION
After careful consideration of several MDS logo concepts, Reineke selected the logo you see above. It suggests safety, reliability and inflation (Think: round tire). The accompanying lifeguard trade ad built on the themes of safety and savings. The bold type and unusual imagery were unexpected in the context of a trade book and therefore highly engaging.

RESULTS*
The ad stimulated laughter. . . and sales.
